Once again Kathrin Tasker, top UK agility instructor, judge and competitor visited Barbados for a holiday, to get away from a cold UK (in mid February, 2008)  and to enjoy the Bajan rum punches, sun and sea and hospitality. Kathrin, while on the island, received the news that she was chosen as the UK's top agility instructor out of 19 nominees.

She also has 3 dogs running in agility at Crufts, 2008.

Kathrin Tasker with Ch. Calliope Rhapsody

This is now several times that I've  met Kathrin and run with different Bouviers.  Rhapsody is still at the beginners stage, knows the obstacles and will do short sequences. The class had several dogs on it and at different levels.

Rhapsody is not as fast and enthusiastic in agility as her sister Rita.  Rita is currently doing the first leg of advanced obedience classes.  Both are doing well in conformation shows and Rhapsody is already a Champion.

Both Rita and Rhapsody started doing agility early, but without any jumps until they were about 18 months old.

At the time of these pictures they are still under 2 years old.

Dogs enjoy agility and it is great exercise for dogs and handlers. Most of the dogs doing agility in Barbados are from the Gundog Group and there is only one training facility on the island.
